About Baz Moffat

Baz is an exercise academic and elite athlete. It was a long hard slog for her to recognise her sporting potential but she did it through hard work and determination and is now ready to take on whatever challenge her clients want to tackle.
Baz’s approach to sport has always been grounded in having a go, and seeing what happens. This ‘can do’ attitude ensured that once she found the right sport her ability to achieve at the highest level was discovered. She was known for her infectious energy and determination in the GB rowing women’s team, winning medals at numerous World Cups and the 2007 World Championships.
Her academic background helped enormously with rowing due to her passion for the psychology of motivation, especially what drives and impedes individual and teams achievement. Baz founded Point2 Fitness with Carla to promote their belief that exercise should be a choice not a chore and to achieve this, sessions must be fun, varied and worthwhile. She leads the planning of Point2 Fitness’ personalised training programmes. Baz’s academic and practical experience, combined with sheer enthusiasm, will turn around the biggest self-doubters to achieve improved health, fitness and performance.

About Carla Ashford

From an early age Carla loved sport and had always dreamed of becoming an Olympian, but it seemed an unrealistic goal. This all changed when she joined her university rowing club, where she found her niche and quickly began to excel. Carla realised that her greatest ambition could actually become a reality. Her journey through an Olympic cycle, required Carla's inbuilt competitive spirit and self determination to help achieve her goals, resulting in World Cup and World Championship medals and selection to represent GB at the Beijing Olympics.
Post Beijing Carla took on a new challenge, creating Point2 Fitness with Baz - a personal training company dedicated to taking an honest and professional approach to physical activity. Her knowledge of the body and its functionality gained through her physiotherapy degree, together with her world class attitude, results in a personal trainer that will leave no stone unturned to help clients reach their goals.
Like most Olympians the pursuit of excellence becomes a way of life and Carla works tirelessly to apply her skills, knowledge and experience in developing and implementing the very best exercise programmes to improve the physical well-being of all her clients.
Carla's Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc (Hons) Degrees in Human Biology and Physiotherapy.
- Certificate in Personal Training
- Massage Therapist
- Nutritional Adviser
- Free Weights Lifting coach (including Olympic Lifts)
- Back rehabilitation instructor – specialising in lower back pain
